Tornier to Highlight Six New Products at American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Meeting

Tornier announced it would highlight six new products at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons 2011 Annual Meeting (“AAOS”) meeting in San Diego, CA. from February 15-19. Doug Kohrs, President and CEO of Tornier, commented, “At this year’s AAOS, we are introducing six new products featuring innovative designs and materials, not just modifications of existing products. Included in the six new products are two new Foot and Ankle products, the Stablilis Ankle Fusion System and the Wave Calcaneal Fracture Plate.

The Stabilis™ Ankle Fusion System provides surgeons with multiple plating options to stabilize the ankle joint for fusion procedures. Additionally, the Wave™ Calcaneal Fracture Plate is the first such system to allow for a less invasive approach compared to a traditionally large “L” flap incision.
